On Apr.10,2023,the Fourth Session of the Eighth Council of Printing and Printing Equipment Industries Association of China(hereafter referred to as "PEIAC") was successfully held in Dongguan,Guangdong.The main topics of the conference:Earnestly study and implement the spirits of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,Central Economic Work Conference and"Two Sessions",analyze and study the new situation and new tasks faced by the present industrial reform and development,listen to and review the council's work report and relevant proposals,and listen to the special report of the association and the working assumption and arrangement about the branch.

At the beginning of the conference,Chairman Wang Wenbin delivered a work report,mentioning problems of thefollowing three aspects:The first is aboutthe new situation and new tasks faced by theindustry;the second is about some problemsneeding to be studied for realizing high-quality development;the third is about theassociation's work for 2022 and the workplan and progress for 2023.

When mentioning the new situation and new tasks faced by the industry,he emphasized:The report of the 20^th National Congress of the Communist Party of China has pointed out that high-quality development is a primary task for building a modern socialist country in all respects,and has made a systematic strategic arrangement about how to promote high-quality development.It has not only proposed a higher requirement for our future development,but also has provided better development conditions for us.In his opinion,the arrangement of Central Economic Work Conference and Two Sessions about the national economic work this year completely conforms to the reality of the printing industry, and serves as an action program for guiding the printing industry to quicken the pace from the period of adjustmont to the period of benign cyclic developmont.

He pointed out the tasks about the reform and development of the printing industry this year:Earnestly study and implement the spirits of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,Central Economic Work Conference and"Two Sessions".Guided by high-quality development,maintain the steady growth of the industry,create new foundations and new conditions for modernization of the printing industry,seek improvement in stability,increase quality and efficiency,and strive to quicken the transfer of the whole industry to the period of benign cyclic development.

As to the second aspect,Chairman Wang Wenbin mentioned four problems needing to be concerned and studied for high-quality development of the printing industry.The first is about high-quality development of private enterprises,the second is about establishing a modern printing industry,the third is about controlling implicit costs,and the fourth is about the development of printing  equipments.
As to the third aspect,Chairman WangWenbin summarized PEIAC's work for 2022,and reported the work arrangement for 2023. He pointed out that PEIAC's working thought for 2023 is to earnestly study and implement the spirits of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,Central Economic Work Conference and“Two Sessions",strengthen investigation and research by focusing on the new situation and new tasks faced by the industrial reform and development,and give a better play to its function.He also arranged eight assignments including strengthening investigation and research,sponsoring China(Guangdong)International Printing Technology Exhibition,promoting robot application and strengthening talent team construction.

Honorary Chairman Yu Zhen first congratulated on the holding of the Fourth Session of the Eighth Council of PEIAC,and then delivered an important speech.He highly appreciated the work of the association for the past year,and recognized Chairman Wang Wenbin's thought about solving problems concerning high-quality development of private enterprises,establishment of a modern printing industry,control of implicit costs and development of printing equipment.He pointed out that the council was held in the situation of earnestly studying and implementing the spirits of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and Two Sessions,The association should carry out a deep analysis of the new situation and new tasks faced by the development,exert great efforts to strengthen fundamental work,bring the industrial enthusiasm into full play,and do everything to help the whole industry to carry out the primary task of high-quality development.At last,he expressed his expectation about the 5th China(Guangdong) International Printing Technology Exhibition,which will be held soon. He hoped that the 5^th China(Guangdong) International Printing Technology Exhibition could become an important platform for China's printing industry to expand its international influence and increase its market competitiveness,and wished the exhibition a complete success!

The participants also listened to the work report“About the Preparation for the 5th China(Guangdong)International Printing Technology Exhibition" delivered by Chairman Adviser Lu Chang'an and the work reports delivered by the rotating chairpersons of seven branches,and approved relevant proposals through deliberation.

At the end of the conference,in joyful and melodious music,PEIAC presented the“Scientific and Technical Awards of PEIAC 2022” to 17 award-winning units.
